Intereview on the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble’s new choreography premiered on November 7th, 2025: "Gyökerek és Szárnyak" [Roots and Wings]. The new piece is the work of a group of younger choreographers: Ágfalvi György, Kele Kristóf, Farkas Máté, Fundák Kristóf, Darabos Péter, ifj. Zsuráfszky Zoltán with music director Pál István „Szalonna”. The production features the folk dance traditions of so-called "little Hungary"– meaning, present day Hungary. Each of the choreographers worked with a female dance partner of his choice. The idea for this new piece came from ensemble director Mihályi Gábor – on a mission to inspire younger choreographers to create.
