A Tanac Kulturális Egyesület horvát elismerése
Zoran Milanovic president of Croatia has given national recognition to Tanac Folk Dance Ensemble of Croatians in Hungary of Pécs, Hungary. The award was given within the framework of a Tanac performance at the Kodály Center in Pécs. Tanac presents the folk dance and music traditions of Hungarian Croatian and south Slav communities in Hungary such as: Kökény, Szalánta-Németi, Kátoly, Pécsudvard, Szemely, Áta, Szökéd, Pogány, Mohács, along with the Bácska villages of Hercegszántó, Dusnok, Kásád, Alsó- and Felsőszentmárton, Lakócsa, Tótújfalu, and many more. "Thank you to the residents – both past and present – of the Hungarian Croatian villages who,to this day preservetheir beliefs, music, songs, dances. Thank you Croatia for not forgetting us!"
