‘Hovel’ to palace – since 2001 the Hungarian Heritage House’s headquarters had been the run-down, outdated, awkward and rambling historical building at Corvin tér 8 in Budapest’s 1st district. After spending two years functioning in temporary locations, this state institution was able to return to a beautifully renovated palace and reopen in October 2018.
