Hungarian Heritage was a main theme of the Smithsonian Institution’s Folklife Festival 2013, held June 26–30 and July 3–7 on the National Mall in Washington DC, USA. Hungary sent a generous contingent of folk artists, musicians and dancers to share their knowledge on everything from traditional Hungarian cuisine to teaching methods of Hungary’s dance house movement – with the 1.5 million people that attend this annual festival.
