Part I: At the dance in Forrószeg. Excerpts from the memoires of Kocsis Rózsi (born Szék 1932/died 1999). Rózsi describes the dances she went to in her neighborhood of Szék as a girl. We hear about the customs around paying and feeding the musicians, how the dances were organized, the social rules for a girl’s behaviour at the dance, asking a girl to dance, how she was obliged to accept and when boys from another neighborhood in Szék came to the dance in their neighborhood.
