Old writings still relevant today – P. Vas János’ column. The famous storytellers spoke well and had a good memory. They were well-respected in the village communities, during peasant work, and in military service. People longed to listen to storytellers. News of a good storyteller spread far and wide; people came to learn from them. A storyteller didn’t create a story alone: hundreds of years of anyonymous, talented and excellent storytellers passed the tales down.
