Borszékiné Rétháti Ágnes writes about the 11 years she worked as a typist for Vargyas Lajos at the Museum of Ethnography in the Folk Music Research Group and the impact it had on her life. When she began work on September 5th 1953, she was 15 years old. She had finished elementary school and a one year course on short hand and typing. The department hired her and took her under their wing. Each colleague was given a subject to teach her – everything about music.
