Kérdések a néptáncszínház körül
New publication: The Hungarian Academy of Arts’ Art Theory and Methodology Research Institute together with L’Harmattan Press announce a new series of publications called ‘Art and Art Theory’. The first volume of the series is entitled “Folk Dance Theatre and what is behind it [Néptáncszinház – és ami mögötte van]: studies from the world of folk music, folk dance, and stage dance”. Edited by Bolya Anna Mária, it was released in December of 2025. The subject of Hungarian folk dance theatre and traditional culture is approached from various points of view along with authenticity in ethnography, addressing questions of authentic folklore and artistic adaptations in choreographies by Györgyfalvi Katalin and Novák Ferenc’s “Elektra”.
