Bartus Józsefné Szandai Teréz (Herencsény, Hungary 1931–2015) was a traditional story teller, singer and informant on peasant religious beliefs and customs of Hungary’s Palóc Region, where she lived her entire life. She was recognized as Hungarian Master of Folk Arts in 2002 and recipient of numerous other awards. Géczi Hegedűs Sándor (1935–2015 Rév/Vadu Crişului, Bihar/Bihor County, Romania) was a traditional story teller and important ethnographic informant.
