The Sebő-Halmos Duo /Sebő Ensemble. "Sebő was the composer arranger and also the main organizer – their repertoire consisted of traditional folk music and Hungarian poetry Sebő set to music.”… [Halmos and Sebő] complemented each other well in their work together. The ’Sebő Klub’ held every two weeks at the Kassak Klub (a community center in Budapest’s 14th district) focused on traditional folk music and folk culture - it drew a crowd of young people as well as Budapest intellectuals. By the end of 1974 the dance house movement’s growth was assisted with both financial and professional support from the National Institute of Culture. By 1974 they began to feel a need for more musicians and organizes camps and workshops for learning to play music for dance house events and courses for training dance house leaders…
Halmos Béla left the Sebő Ensemble in 1979 and played freelance for about 10 years.
