Hungarian Academy of Dance – Folk Dance Department. On June 9th, 2020, eighteen young professionally trained folk dancers received diplomas on schedule from the Hungarian Academy of Dance. Unfortunately the gala final exam performance showcasing the dancers (usually an integral part of the graduation process) could not be held, due to restrictions imposed because of the corona virus epidemic. The five year training program at the Dance Academy in Budapest turns high school aged youngsters who like to dance, into professional folk dancers with a university level degree.
