Farewell to Hájas Tibor 1965–2017 – dancer, folk dance educator. From the age of nine Hájas Tibor danced in Jászberény’s Galagonya Ensemble; when he came of age, he danced in the Jászság Folk Dance Ensemble. In 1996 he completed the program for dance teaching at the Hungarian Academy of Dance. He was leader of, and choreographed for, the Barkóca, Nógrád, Palóc and Forrás folk dance ensembles. Later he taught dance in several communities for Szolnok’s Laurus School of the Arts and danced in Jászberény’s Tradition Preserving Ensemble. Sadly, at the age of 52 he died on November 6th. He was buried November 17th in Jászberény. Obituary by Hortiné dr. Bathó Edit.
