Easter Customs of Andrásfalva Andrásfalva is in the area of northeastern Transylvania called Bukovina. Here is an article telling about traditions from there as they were, probably during the period between the two world wars. It starts with the period of fasting following carnival and goes through Easter Monday. For example on Easter Monday evening, the boys would steal the gates from the girls' yards, then taking them to the edge of town and building a corral for the sheep with them, putting them in a nearby lake or on the roof of the jewish family in town.
