The Department of Folk Music at the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest held a concert on December 5th, 2017 celebrating successful completion of the department’s first ten years. The Folk Music Department “has established a great balance between theory and practice where scientific folk music collection based on the Kodály and Bartók tradition works in perfect harmony with the practical music training that has grown out of the dance house movement.” Congratulations to Richter Pál Head of the Folk Music Department.
